Broker's Comments
The Colvic Watson 35 is a robustly built motor sailor, designed by G L Watson who was infamous for designing lifeboats. She can handle the most adverse weather conditions yet can manoeuvre into tight marina berths with her powerful bow thruster.
This boat has cruised extensively and has had a lot of money spent on her over the last few years upgrading and maintaining her. She has had a refit in the galley, heads and wheelhouse. She has had a lot of new equipment fitted including new stacker packs, toilet, calorifier, carpets and battery management system. The hull has been repainted and antifouled plus new anodes have been fitted. The rudder stock has been strengthened, new bearings fitted and the sea cocks have been replaced. In the last 2 years a comprehensive amount of work has been carried out including the following.
Sep 2021 New rod/piston for steering cylinder
Sep 2021 Removed wheel pilot and fitted Raymarine Evolution Hydraulic pilot + P70R Control head. Console rewired and redundant wires removed.
Dec 2021 Replaced headlining in wheel house
Feb 2022 Webasto water heater fitted and new blower in main cabin
May 2022 Lift out and antifoul plus replacement of hull anodes
June 2022 Repair of bowsprit platform
July 2022 Fit additional 2 X 100W solar panel plus Victron 100/30 solar controller
June 2023 Hull anodes replaced.
The accommodation comprises of a wheel house with seating around the table which converts to a single berth and the helmsmans seat is opposite. Going forward down the companionway steps the captains cabin is located starboard with a good sized galley opposite. There is plenty of seating around the saloon table, this converts to another double berth and the heads is opposite. In the forward cabin there are 2 single berths.
The engine room is under the wheelhouse and access is gained from the main saloon. She is fitted with a 125hp Gardner diesel engine which cruises comfortably at 7 knots and has just been serviced.
This is a boat designed for the discerning blue water cruising yachtsman and could also be used as a liveaboard.
A classic boat realistically priced.
