Broker's Comments

Built in 1982, this Trapper 501 is a straightforward, forgiving, no-nonsense sailing cruiser and is perfect for weekends away or extended costal cruising.

Built as a bilge keel she is also perfect for exploring shallower waters and offers the crew extra reassurance should she accidentally take to ground.

She is also well-equipped to be skippered single handed and includes in-mast furling which offers infinite reefing points should the weather turn a little gustier!

The boat appears to be in good condition inside and out and there is lots of evidence that she has been well maintained.

Despite her age she presents herself very well. The interior upholstery is in good condition, she feels clean, tidy and well looked after.

The galley is fitted with a clean 2 burner gas hob, the manual water system has been fitted with a new water pump.

The saloon offers a nice place to enjoy a meal and would comfortably seat 4 people.

Of particular note:

- A new water bladder was recently fitted
- The engine was serviced in March 2022
- The boat was lifted, anodes replaced and anti fouled March 2022
- The boat comes with an autopilot

In summary, a very tidy boat and would suit a couple or young family looking to spend time aboard, perhaps learning to sail and enjoying weekends away.
